2007 Program/Impact Evaluation Results
(providing prevention education to over 2500 youth in Midland County) Circle of Health assesses youth perception, attitudinal and knowledge
changes through pre/post-test evaluations at the completion of all direct service programs.
Project Northland (8 weeks) evidence-based model program to 6th - 8th grades at 2 sites:
6th grade students reported decreased intention of alcohol use in the
next 12 months by 5.9 %
7th grade students reported decreased intention of alcohol use in the
next 12 months by 6.2%
8th grade students reported decreased intention of alcohol use in the
next 12 months by 7.4%
After School Search Institute Developmental Assests Programming (at 7 area sites- youth ages 6-10):
Students reported learning and incorporating 9 new assets
Life Skills evidence-based model program (4th grade at 1 site):
Increased knowledge of postive communication skill by 20%
Increased stress management skills by 12%
Project Toward no Drug Abuse (2 alternative high school sites):
Decreased 30 day use of marijuana by 23%
Decreased 30 day binge drinking by 22%
Decreased 30 day cocaine use by 16%
